Should you like to embrace an opportunity to make a positive impact while immersing yourself in new cultures and gaining fresh perspectives, below are a few programs you can participate in to meaningfully contribute and make a difference.
Plant a Tree
As you explore new places, take a moment to give back to the environment. It’s simple yet a powerful way to make your journey more meaningful. At a cost of USD $25, Green Bhutan provides tree sapling, the preparation for planting it and the maintenance of the sapling post plantation until it is established. The geo-coordinates for each tree will be shared to allow virtual monitoring. Your tree will grow for generations potentially providing oxygen for up to four people. Pay and plant sites : Thimphu, Punakha, Paro, Chukha, Bumthang and Tashigang. For more information visit:https://gbcl.bt/?p=3632
Support a Monk
Many young monks come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, often having a single or no living parent, or living with grandparents or other relatives. The limited resources distributed among all the institutes and monasteries make it challenging to provide nutritious meals and adequate living conditions. The sponsor a monk program was created by the Youth Development Fund to meet the needs of very young monks in monasteries across Bhutan. Under this project a sponsor provides USD$12 per month for one monk. For more information visit:https://www.bhutanyouth.org/sponsor-a-monk/
Sponsor a Child's Education
By supporting educational initiatives you contribute to creating a more equitable world where every child has the chance to thrive and reach their full potential. Save the Children in Bhutan has been working to increase access to basic education and enhance learning outcomes among primary school children. Your donation can make a lasting impact on the lives of many children and build a better tomorrow.
